Sales by region
Sales growth was realised in all regions measured in local currencies. North America and Europe were the main growth drivers contributing 53% and 23% respectively, of the total sales growth for 2006. Solid growth was also realised in International Operations, contributing 20% of the total sales growth, whereas sales in Japan and Oceania were impacted negatively by a mandatory reduction in reimbursement prices in Japan as of 1 April 2006.
